1938 Hispano-Suiza H6B “Xenia”
My fifteenth installment on the NC Art Museum’s Rolling Sculpture show.
Andre Dubonnet (inventor and wine heir) had Jean Andreau design a one-off as a rolling demonstration of Dubonnet’s inventions. It was a larger interpretation of Talbot-Lago Teardrops. Besides its wonderful rolling fender lines, the car is striking for its curved, panoramic Plexiglas windows. It is perhaps the most “modern” looking of the cars in the show.
