NASSAWADOX, VA -- On returning from Baltimore last week, I finally stopped in Nassawadox to photograph the old baywindow caboose exhibited there alongside Highway 13.

While there, I heard a horn in the distance. What luck that the local freight was coming my way. A 1970 GP38 was pulling just three cars north. She is still carrying Eastern Shore markings on her side. It’s too bad, Bay Coast RR has one of the better logos you’ll see in short lines.
